Programm for Saturday, July 11
Starting at 10 a.m., Collective inking of the “Paysage alpin” mural
Come join us for the collective inking of the “Paysage alpin” mural. Alongside artist Cedric Bregnard and his organization Racines du ciel, pick up a brush pen and use small strokes to bring out the contrasts in the mural’s majestic landscape. Together, help create a collective mural that brings together art, the public, and the landscape.
In front of the “Paysage alpin” mural, all day long until 6 p.m.
10 a.m., The park gate. The Museum of Errors at Szilassy Park, a guided tour by Pierre Leguillon
From Delphine Seyrig to Marguerite Burnat-Provins, from a giant ceramic cabbage leaf to a bench crafted identically from a family photo, Pierre Leguillon invites us on a stroll along the park’s fence, which serves here as both a pretext and a framework for intertwining stories set in Bex and beyond. A leporello published by Bex Arts for the occasion will be given out during the tour.
Departure from the refreshment stand. Duration: approx. 45 min.
11 a.m., Tour of the park with Hunter Longe and Marie-Claude Jeanneret
Come explore what lies beneath the park’s surface by following the artistic approach of Hunter Longe, whose project was created in collaboration with geobiologist and dowser Marie-Claude Jeanneret. Together, they invite you to discover the estate’s geological past as well as the energy currents and phenomena that flow through it.
Meeting at the café. Duration: approx. 1 hour
4:00 p.m., Collective listening session with Olga Kokcharova
After paying attention to the sounds of our own bodies, our listening expands to the surrounding soundscape. This “listening body,” freed from its physical constraints, moves in the blink of an eye from a distant sound to a rustle right next to our ear. Join Olga Kokcharova on a walk to discover the different layers of active listening and immerse yourself in the soundtrack she composed for Bex Arts 26, drawing on the rich array of sounds found in the park.
In front of the artwork Alors que les paupières se ferment, l’ouïe se confond avec les autres sens et tout devient son. Duration: approx. 45 minutes
5 p.m., Catalog Launch
The Bex Arts 26 catalog has just come off the press. Come browse through it while enjoying a cocktail at the bar!
The publication of Bex Arts 26 – Génies du lieu extends the exhibition experience through a richly illustrated 127-page volume. It brings together descriptions and photographs of all the artworks, taken by Cédric Widmer, as well as previously unpublished contributions by Jérémie Gindre, Valérie Hoffmeyer, Alberto Cherubin, Monique Keller, and Anne-Outram Mott.
Conceived as a true work of publishing, the catalog offers a complementary perspective on the exhibition, its works, and the dialogue they engage in with Szilassy Park.
