Programm for Saturday, August 22

Starting at 10 a.m., Collective inking of the “Paysage alpin” mural
Come join us for the third collective inking of the “Paysage alpin” mural. Alongside artist Cedric Bregnard and his organization Racines du ciel, pick up a brush pen and use small strokes to bring out the contrasts in the mural’s majestic landscape. Together, help create a collective mural that brings together art, the public, and the landscape.
In front of the “Paysage alpin” mural, all day long until 6 p.m.

12:00 a.m., Solar Observation with Elisa Balmaceda
Take part in the collective activation of “Portal II – A Solar Observatory of Salt and Water” with artist Elisa Balmaceda. Using mirrors and the artwork’s infrastructure, come align yourself with the sun and the mountains surrounding the park.
The artist will share a cosmogram revealing the architecture and geometry present in the artwork, which you can take home with you as a cyanotype.
In front of the artwork “Portal II – A Solar Observatory of Salt and Water”. Duration: 45 minutes

 

Programm for Sunday, August 23

10 a.m.–12 p.m., Breakfast in the Park
Come enjoy a fresh, locally sourced breakfast at the Bex Arts 26 café!
CHF 20.– per person, including one non-alcoholic beverage.

Starting at 10 a.m., “Tableaux Vivants” workshop for Children with Jasmina Jovanovic
While visiting Bex Arts 26 with your family, collect nature’s little treasures and then arrange them into living pictures, guided by Jasmina Jovanovic. Workshop for children and their parents.
At the Bex Arts 26 welcome desk, continuously until 2 p.m.

10:30 a.m., Painting the Landscape with Alexandre de Broca
The park offers a multitude of inspiring viewpoints. Join painter Alexandre de Broca as you take the time to observe them and learn the art of plein air painting.
Those wishing to participate are invited to bring their own painting supplies. However, a few brushes and paints will be available on site.
Meet at the Bex Arts 26 welcome desk. Duration: approx. 2 hours

1:00 p.m., Guided Tour with Lara and Olivier Estoppey
Come discover the works of Bex Arts 26 with a guide. This tour will be led, as a special exception, by Lara Estoppey and Olivier Estoppey, who will share their collaborative creative process behind the work “Au Chemin ferré”.
Starts at Bex Arts 26 welcome desk. Duration: approx. 2 hours.

4:00 p.m., Botanical Tour
Join François Bonnet from the Jardin du Pont de Nant to discover the park’s diverse plant species. From chestnut trees to blades of grass, immerse yourself in Bex Arts’ botanical heritage and explore the properties of the plants you encounter.
Starts at Bex Arts 26 welcome desk. Duration: approx. 1 hour

 

As with the rest of the exhibition, participation in the activities is on a pay-what-you-can basis. A contribution of CHF 10.– per activity is recommended to support the organization of the program.

The Bex Arts 26 Weekends receive valuable support from the Vaud State’s Access to Culture Unit.
