1978 Exhibition

1978

The Bex & Arts Triennial originated from a sculpture exhibition organised in 1978 by sculptor André Raboud and his friends Suzanne and Pascal Cadosch at the Tour de Duin estate above Bex.

This first exhibition, which was entirely private and free of charge, brought together nine artists from French-speaking Switzerland: André Raboud, Daniel Galley, André Gigon, Charles de Montaigu, Marco Pellegrini, Fred Perrin, Albert Rouiller, Claude Tièche and André-Paul Zeller. A work by Max Bill also completed the collection.

Conceived in 1977 by the creative minds of André Raboud and Suzanne Cadosch, this initiative aimed to introduce the people of Bex and the Chablais region to contemporary sculpture, while helping to raise the profile of Bex beyond its regional borders.
