Can’t wait for tomorrow!

14.05 — 24.09.2023

Can’t wait for tomorrow! invites forty-five artists, designers, architects, musicians, performers, actresses, ceramists and video artists to explore the relationship between humans and nature, taking as their starting point the exhibition venue, Szilassy park. The park is both a natural environment populated by century-old trees and a space that has been shaped by humans since the 19th century. This relationship between humans and nature, in which one influences the other and moulds it in its own image, now has consequences for a very large part of the globe. The Bex region is part of this in-between world of contrasts, with the harshness of the Alpine terrain on one side and agricultural, industrial and residential areas on the other.

The theme is intended as a serious invitation to use artistic creation to confront a future that frightens us, polarises us, makes us idealise a golden past and contributes to spreading a pessimism that can be paralysing.
